how do I Book Tickets?

Tickets are available via Melbourne Fringe. Tickets are free, but limited!
Your e-Ticket will include a link to the performance.

Where is the show being performed?

The show is being staged from various locations - we operate from a studio at Metro Arts in East Brisbane (Meanjin), but the performers are streaming in from their various homes from around Australia and the world. Audiences watch the show online, from anywhere they so please. You may watch this show from your bed, lawn, or bathtub.

how DO I Watch the Show?

If you have booked a ticket, you will receive a link via email from Melbourne Fringe. This link will take you to a webpage with a livestream of the performance. Click on this link just before the performance time - you should be able to see moving images and hear sound from 10 minutes before show time. The performance will only be available to watch at the time of the live performance.

What is livestream theatre?

A lot of theatre is recorded for video distribution online. Some livestream theatre is trying to interrogate what theatre can be in an online space, where we are still trying to share a live moment in synchronous time, but where we are connecting with each other via a web platform rather than in a room. Our approach to livestream theatre involves live mixing video feeds from various locations in this one moment of performance that you can only watch as a temporary online video.

Why are you doing this?

COVID-19 changed the way we think about theatre online. During lockdowns, many people asked us to create a work that could be shared with audiences digitally. It took us a while, but this is our experiment that both channels the feeling of the pandemic era, but also toys with notions of liveness and theatricality in the way we experience events online.

Who are the performers?

Each performance features three new guest performers. You can find out who is performing in your session by checking our socials or our website in the lead-up to show time.

Is my stream working?

Your stream should only show an animated graphic of a globe before show time. From about ten minutes before the performance, you should be able to hear music and see an animated title. If you do not see and hear this at the scheduled performance time, you may not be connected to the stream.

What do I do if the stream isn’t working?

Try some quick troubleshooting:

  • Refresh the browser window.

  • Is your internet connection working? Try to load another website. Check your wifi settings. Check your router is connected and working.

  • Is your internet connection fast enough? Check using this speed test. You will want at least 10Mbps. 5Mbps may still work but will involve some lag.

  • Is your computer muted? Make sure your sound settings are turned on, and if you are using headphones that they are plugged in or connected correctly.

  • Is the link correct? Make sure you open the correct link from your ticketing email.

  • Is the stream playing? After opening the link at the right time, you should see an embedded video window. If this is frozen, make sure it is not paused.

  • Is the stream muted? If you are not hearing sound, make sure the video window is not muted. Make sure your browser has permission to play sound.

  • Restart your computer and try again.

Can I watch the show after it has been performed?

Unfortunately no. The moment is only available to be witnessed live.

what happens if I miss the performance?

Unfortunately it is lost forever. You are welcome to book tickets to a later performance.

What if I pIRate this performance?
